2 Simple Methods to Download and Install Quicken Software
Quicken 2017 and before versions are the non-subscription product from Intuit Inc. In back 2016, they sold Quicken to H.I.G Capital and in Oct 2017, H.I.G Capital launched Quicken 2018 as the subscription product for the first time in Quicken history and after products are also subscription-based till today.

Method 1. Download and Install Quicken Software (Non-Subscription Product)
Download Quicken
- Go to https://www.quicken.com/
- Then, click on Sign In > My Account
- Now enter the Quicken ID and Password
- Click Sign In
- You may receive a verification code on registered mobile number/email.
- Once you’re logged in to the Quicken account, scroll the cursor down to the My Purchases section and click Download Quicken.
Install Quicken
- Once you download Quicken click on the setup.exe file to install it
- If asks, click on Yes to allow user account control
- Quicken 2017 or before versions start installing
- Then click Let’s Go
- Accept the License Agreement and click Next
- Now click Install
- Now Quicken starts installing into your computer. It may take sometime
- Once it’s completely installed, click on Done
- Now Quicken will open and prompts you to choose the suitable option.

If you purchase Quicken 2017 or earlier version via CD
If you have Quicken 2017 or earlier version on a CD but don’t have a CD drive on your computer. You can contact to official Quicken Support and they can help you with the direct installation.
If you have a computer with CD Drive please proceed further with the below steps.
- Close all the applications on your computer
- Go to File Explorer (Ctrl+E)
- Click on This PC
- Now make a double click on CD/DVD drive
- Then click Let’s Go
- Accept the License Agreement and click Next
- Now click Install
- Now Quicken starts installing into your computer. It may take sometime
- Once it’s completely installed, click on Done
Method 2. Download and Install Quicken Software (Subscription Product)
Download Quicken
- Go to https://www.quicken.com/
- Then, click on Sign In > My Account
- Now enter the Quicken ID and Password
- Click Sign In
- Once you’re logged in to your account scroll the cursor down to Download Quicken section
- Then click on Download for Windows
Install Quicken
- Once you download Quicken click on the Quicken.exe file to install it
- If asks, click on Yes to allow user account control
- Then click Let’s Go
- Now click Install
- Now Quicken starts installing into your computer. It may take sometime
- Once it’s completely installed, click on Done
- Now Quicken will open and enter the Quicken ID & Password.
- Then click Sign In

If you purchase Quicken subscription via CD
If your computer has a CD Drive or not the below steps will help you to install Quicken software on your computer. On the Quicken CD box you can see the Activation Code, please be handy with it.
- Visit https://www.quicken.com/activate
- Select a suitable option on the screen
- Then click on Quicken for Windows
- Once you download Quicken click on the Quicken.exe file to install it
- If asks, click on Yes to allow user account control
- Then click Let’s Go
- Now click Install
- Now Quicken starts installing into your computer. It may take sometime
- Once it’s completely installed, click on Done
- Now Quicken will open and enter the Quicken ID & Password.
- Then click Sign In
- Click on Begin Activation
- Now enter the 16 digit Activation Code
- Click Activate Membership
- Follow the on-screen instructions to make Quicken
